If you have been waiting for psychiatric care in Lexington — or you are tired of feeling rushed through a visit — you are in the right place. Holland Behavioral Health is a small practice on Huguenard Drive. You will work directly with Kelly Holland, a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, not a rotating cast of providers.
How we work
Assess first. We start with a careful psychiatric and behavioral health assessment before anything else.
Diagnose with you, not at you. You get a clear explanation of what we think is going on and why.
Medication as one part of the plan. Medication management is one tool, not the whole plan.
Local and reachable. A small Lexington practice on Huguenard Drive, with a real person to call.

Meet Kelly...
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with more than 13 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. I work with adults navigating mood and thought disorders, trauma, substance use, behavioral conditions, and co-occurring diagnoses.
My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy and also accounts for the social and environmental factors that shape how people think, feel, and function. Years of inpatient work taught me how to meet people in very different states of distress and to look carefully at how trauma affects thought patterns and behavior. In recent years, much of my practice has focused on PTSD and trauma, substance use disorders, and intellectual disability.
Clients can expect a straightforward, honest conversation in a space that is meant to feel safe. Healing starts when someone feels seen. From there, assessment becomes a conversation, goals are set together, and treatment is tailored to the person in front of me—not a template.
